Dodge in Hell
Description
Dodge in Hell is quite possibly the best V10 on the Front Range, especially of the granite ones. Yeah, it’s that good.
Start matched on a crimp edge/rail on the blunt prow. A super awkward and unique crux start (hint: use your butt) leads to brilliant compression flow on amazing slopers and crimps. A scary final move to a pocket leads to a techy but trivial topout.
The landing slopes away a bit more than you’d wish, and the top is slippery and somewhat committing but very manageable with a good spot. To keep the pads from sliding, I highly recommend a mid-large size cam above the pads to hold them.
Location
It is the outstanding arete on the brilliant main face of the boulder. Start on a crimp, and climb the blunt prow to a slightly indirect finish a bit right.
Protection
2 or more pads, cams to hold pads, and a spot.
