Hamms Down (aka Chipped Suey)

FA Rondo Powell & Jim Hall, December 1987
CREATED May 2023
UPDATED May 2023

Description

This is the short and fairly forgettable face route that sits behind campsite 14. The crux moves are adequately protected but it's barely worth roping up for.

Mistakenly called "Chipped Suey" in the 1992 Vogel guide, a reference to the "creative cleaning" that's visible on the lower portion of the route.

Note: this climb was originally listed in the Basecamp section of Climbing Magazine #110.
